Emergency Room

What is the longest you've had to wait at the Emergemcy Room? Michael and Benjamin were there last night for 4 1/2 hours. When they got there it was not busy at all. Almost right away they were put in a room with a bed, chair and TV. So they hung out for a long while, sleeping off and on. Yesterday Benjamin started coughing again, when he coughs it always turns into Asthma, and sometimes even worse. So he was coughing all day, and it wasn't a normal cough, it's one of those that you say eww, everytime he does it, it sounded like it hurt and he said it did. So I gave him a breathing treatment and some cough plus soar throat medicine. The breathing treatment didn't help, but the throat medicine seemend to help for a few hours. Anyway, long story short Benjamin got worse, he was having a hard time breathing and by 11:30pm when he was still coughing and still not asleep, Michael came in and told me we need to take him in. So off they went. They took X Rays, and that's what took so long. If nobody else was there why would that take so long? Oh Well, Benjamin has an Upper Respiratory Tract Infection. They say to give him breathing treatments every 4 hours, cold liquids and popsicles. Poor guy.

Sorry Cami, I was thinking of you when I was talking about that the x-rays. I remember when I took Benjamin in when he was 3 and you did x-rays on him. Michael was the one who said is was the x-rays.

oohh, i hate ER's. The worst is when you can see dr's sitting around and chatting about non-medical stuff and you'll still waiting and waiting, and waiting..... aahhh! Is he feeling better?
