Our mini vacation to Long Beach

On Friday morning we took the boys out of school and took off for our mini vacation. Just before we left in started pouring and the wind was blowing pretty good. As we got closer to the Grapvine Michael called to make sure it wasn't closed, they said no, but they were watching things, so fingers crossed we kept going. As were headed up it starts snowing, but it is wet snow, we had ice on our wipers as they would go off. Then as we get to Fraiser Park it starts snowing and pretty good, the kids were excited to get to see it snowing. Once we got a few miles passed Fraiser Park it was raining. So through all the traffic and everything else we get the the La Brea Tar Pits, and the Page Museum, which is where all the fossils of the Dinosaurs and Mammals are. The kids all enjoyed it. After the museum we wanted to see the tar pits which are outside the museum, well it was pouring rain when we got out so we didn't get to see the tar pits. We got to the car to head out and by the time we got to the car we were soaking wet. We don't own any umbrellas, but it would have been nice. So we headed to Long Beach which was just about 30-45 minutes away, boy was there nasty traffic and crazy drivers. On Saturday we went to the Aquarium and to the Science Center. The Aquarium was really cool. Sara-Jane really enjoyes it. There is an area where the kids got to touch sting rays and baby sharks, they also got to touch starfish. The Science center was fun also, very busy. I think everyone had a fun time.
Page Museum.
The Aquarium of the Pacific.
Jack petting the Sting Rays.
Sara-Jane loved the seals.

We didn't take any at the Science museum because there was nothing exciting to take pictures of.

We love the Aquarium of the Pacific....hoping to get back there in March. We did an LA vacation last summer and I was hard to pick where to go!

LA has so much to see besides the theme parks! Way to go! The Long Beach aquarium is so much fun, it is very kid friendly, that is the best part.

Your blog is getting really boring. Maybe you should update it with a picture of your belly. I dare you!
